Happy Holidays from Southborough!

We have spent the last week traveling between Virginia and Massachusetts. Ada spent her first Christmas at Kara’s Grandmothers home in the Pocono region of Pennsylvania. The whole Banigan family gathered and Ada loved getting to spend lots of quality time with her aunts, uncle, grandparents, and great-grandmother! Our time in the Poconos was relaxing and it was nice to spend time together as an extended family.

We drove towards DC and visited our old house and the area that we used to live. We spent a day gathering with Greg’s extended family in Bridgewater, Virginia where Adalynne got the chance to meet her other great-grandparents and more extended family. We stayed with Megan and Dan in Arlington before heading back north to Connecticut to pick up Cappy and spend a final night with the Banigans.

We arrived home last night exhausted and excited to be home. We laughed at how traveling with Ada has changed our wanderings. It is harder and we are forced to loosen our time schedules and expectations. We had more than a few roadside diaper changes (some explosive!) and have become adept at turning the front seat into a changing table!

All in all, traveling and seeing family was good. Happy New Year!
